The Eco-Schools programme is a framework that enables the school to analyse its operations and become more sustainable. By following the programme, the we expect to become a more stimulating place in which to learn, whilst reducing the environmental impact of the whole school on the community. Pupil involvement is a key part of the Eco-Schools programme and having pupils engaged in the whole process, including monitoring, action planning and decision-making, leads to genuine ownership of the programme and an increase in their sense of responsibility for the school environment and local area. Football Association Charter Standard As football is part of the games curriculum and the after-school clubs, the school was awarded the Football Association Charter Standard in May 2005. The project is aimed at boys and girls under sixteen years old and will help children and parents find a club in their local area that meets FA standards.
